Are you experiencing a drought in your life? When was the last time you were consistently happy or did something good for yourself? A lot of times we spend so much doing for others that we become worn out. This happens as a parent often, but it also happens on the job. Work is a common thing that has been known to cause a lot of stress in the lives of others.
I realized that it was time for me to rejuvenate my life and I am inviting you to join me. No, there is no email list( although you can email me at info@purposewhispers.com if you'd like) that you have to subscribe to or anything in particular that you have to do. It is not a requirement that you post on social media to participate, there is no gimmick behind this. I am simply inviting you because I know how it feels to always be doing something and not have time for yourself or sometimes to even breathe(at least that is what it feels like sometimes).
So today, I am sharing with you 5 tips to rejuvenate your life, 5 that I will be implementing in my own life more consistently. It would be easy me for to collect a bunch tips that I never use and throw them into a blog post. But as a life coach, I have a duty to myself and to you to be honest.
So, here we go...
1.) Pray
I know this may seem obvious, but it's not. I am guilty of sometimes praying for a second or sometimes not praying at all, not because I do not want to, but because i'm so "busy" with other things. I learned a while ago that being "busy" is not a good thing, being productive on the other hand is. I'll save that for another day though. God is very important in my life and I know how important it is to stay prayed up, because if we do not stayed prayed up, the enemy will run rampant in our lives. I can always tell the difference in my day when I start my day off with prayer vs when I don't and also when I pray throughout the day vs when I don't.
There is power in power and God tells us to pray with out ceasing.
2. Set a daily goal
Maybe your goal will simply be to not let anything affect you for that particular day, which will probably be my daily goal once I do set my first one. Focus on the goal, keep it on a post-it note, set it as a reminder on your phone. Setting a daily goal will help you stay focused on the positive.
3.) Smile
A smile a day keeps the enemy away LOL. It is true though, it's enough people walking around frowning and your smile could actually change that. Smiling is contagious and just cracking a smile can improve your mood.
4.) Think happy thoughts
As a life and career coach, I find that it is easier for people to think negative thoughts than it is to think positive thoughts. It seems like the trials of life sometimes get the best of us and we result to stinking thinking. It's OK to be down, but what's important is that you get back up. I wanted to challenge you as I challenge myself to have more positive thoughts than you do negative ones. WE can do it!
5.)Be a blessing to someone
This is absolutely my favorite! It truly is a blessing to a be a blessing. I believe God has called us to be a blessing. I find that be a blessing truly rejuvenates me because not only is it an act of kindness, but it is an act of faith, love, and hope. You never know who is in need. Being a blessing does not always have to include money, it can be prayer, sharing your testimony, listening to someone, etc.
